TOUR NO. 1 - JERUSALEM OF GOLD

Departures: Daily

Drive to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city.
Enter the Old City and walk through the Armenian and Jewish quarters to the recently excavated and restored Cardo, the Roman road. See the Jewish Wailing Wall, the Kotel, and continue to the Christian quarter.  Walk along the Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
Proceed to the New City ; view the Knesset, Israel’s parliament and visit
 Yad Vashem, the Memorial to the Holocaust.

On Saturdays and Jewish Holidays, instead of Yad Vashem, the tour will take you to visit the Tomb of King David, the room of the Last Supper and the Dormition Abbey.

NOTE: modest dress (no shorts or sleeveless shirts) and head covering are required for visiting the holy places.

TOUR NO. 1 A  - HALF DAY JERUSALEM OF GOLD

Departures : Daily

Drive to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city.

End of tour  . Return to hotel on own * .

*Option : Transportation to Tel-Aviv from Yad Vashem at 16.00 for a supplement of $ 15 p/p.

TOUR NO. 1 B Jewish Heritage tour of Jerusalem -  NEW

Departure : Monday , Thursday

Start the day with a magnificent overview of Jerusalem and the Judea Desert from Mount Scopus, near the Hebrew University Campus. Proceed to the Old city ; enter through
Zion gate , as did the Israeli Paratroopers during the Six Days War.
Visit  the tomb of King David on Mt. Zion.  Walk along the Cardo the ancient Roman road, and view the remains of the wall of Jerusalem from the 1st Temple period. Visit the Jewish Quarter and  the four Sephardic Synagogues from the 16th century, restored after 1967 war.
Visit Davidson center, and tour the southern Kottel excavation.
Visit the Kottel and Join the Bar-Mitzvah ceremonies.
Continue to Mea Shearim and learn about the unique lifestyle of the Ultra orthodox communities.
Drive to mount Hertzel , the military cemetery and Yad Vashem, the memorial to the Holocaust. Return to the hotels.

TOUR NO. 2 - FULL DAY MASSADA AND DEAD SEA

Departures: Daily

 
Today you will learn about Massada and the heroic story of the fighters and you will visit the resort area of the lowest place on earth, the Dead Sea.

Depart Tel-Aviv via the Judean Hills to the Dead Sea, the lowest place
on earth; drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to Massada. Ascend by cable car and tour the mountain fortress built by King Herod, where the Zealots made their last stand against the Romans. Visit the remains of the walls, palaces, the synagogue, water cisterns, mosaic floors roman bath etc.
Descend by cable car.  Travel along the sea and you will have free time to swim and float in the Dead Sea, that many believe has its curative effects.

NOTE: comfortable walking shoes, head covering, sun protection,
swimsuit and towel are recommended.

TOUR NO. 2 A  - DEAD SEA RELAXATION

Departure : Daily
Drive to the Dead Sea through the Judean Desert.
Stop for relaxation at one of the resorts on the shores of the Dead Sea.
Spend the day on site , enjoy the opportunity to float in the Dead Sea and cover yourself with the mineral rich , therapeutic dead sea mud .
On return , view Qumran caves,  where the Dead Sea scrolls were found ; and view Jericho the oldest town on Earth.

TOUR  NO. 4 : PEARLS OF THE WESTERN COAST CAESAREA, HAIFA, ACRE & ROSH HANIKRA

Departures: Sunday, Tuesday and Friday

Drive along coastal road to Caesarea, the ancient Roman Capital and Port, walking tour of the theatre and archaeological ruins and excavations.
Continue to Haifa, scenic view of city, port and Bahai Gardens.
Continue via Nahariya to Rosh Hanikra to visit the limestone Grottos on the border
with Lebanon.
Return via Acre to visit the Crusader and Turkish Underground City and crypt.
Walk through the Old City and oriental market, the Arab Mosque and the Old Port.
Return to Tel Aviv .

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR DAILY TOURS

1.  Tours are conducted in English;  Second language upon request and   Availability.

2. Changes in itinerary may occur due to Holidays or Force majeure. 

3. The tours will not be operated on April 9th , and September 19th and 20th .

4. Pick-up and drop-off times may be delayed due to traffic jams.  

5. Entrance fees are included.  Meals and tips are not included.

6. Cancellation fees :  25% for notification 24 hours prior to tour ;No refund for cancellation on day of tour.

7. Valuable belongings should never be left unattended in the vehicle.  

8. ITAS and/or its agents and representatives abroad will not accept responsibility for any loss, injury or damage.
